An Emotional First Day of Kindergarten

On January 6, children started kindergarten at St James’ School in Kuala Belait. It was a special and emotional day for both children and parents. The school welcomed 22 young pupils.

For many children, this was their first time going to school. Teachers prepared fun activities to help the children feel comfortable in their new classroom. These activities also helped the children make friends and enjoy learning together.

Parents felt happy but also a little worried. One parent shared that his family prepared by buying school supplies and making a daily routine at home. Another parent said he helped his child wake up early and feel excited about school.

Kindergarten is an important step for children. They learn basic skills, make friends, and gain confidence in a new environment.
